The Kayumanis Villas are located in the foothills
of the mountain region of Bali.

Cultural Sites
Bali is also known as "the isle of the Gods". This
is an understatement. There are probably over a million temples
on the island.
A hypnotic mix of religion, royal culture and
architectural splendor lie within easy reach of the Kayumanis
Villa in the area often referred to as “old Bali.”
Here, you will find the royal palaces of Klungkung and Karangasem.
Scenic trips
The surrounding area offers spectacular scenery over a wide
range of landscapes ranging from
volcanic mountains to lush tropical rain forests.
The Balinese consider Volcanoes and Mountains
sacred. Pura Besakih, the most important temple on Bali is
built on the slopes of the "Holy Mountain" Gunung
Agung. Also nearby is another mountain Batukaru. Spectacular
views of both of these can be had during one of our organised
treks.
Balinese Crafts
Apart from weaving and plating, much of Balinese art has its
origin in Balinese-Javanese courts when the Majapahit Empire
conquered Bali in the 14th Century.
Visit the Ubud open market early in the day
and experience the buzz and excitement of the locals buying
and selling fresh produce. Late morning, indigenous arts and
crafts are on display as well as almost anything you want.
For a more retail experience make your way
to Monkey Forest Road to locate designer clothes, jewellery,
art and upmarket cafes.
Restaurants
Health food, fast food, vegetarian food, haute cuisine, food
stalls, lunch rooms, coffee shops, Indonesian warungs and
Gamelan music. Bali has it all.
As the evening approaches you will discover
that Ubud also caters for those with an appetite for additional
entertainment. Nightlife including the Jazz Cafe, first class
restaurants and bars pepper the streets - and all within easy
reach of the Kayumanis Villas!
